How to verify a website: Firefox 3.5

In Firefox 3.5, the domain name should be visible in a blue box on the left side of the location box (where you type URLs).
Click on it, or on the site logo in Firefox 3.0.

You should get a popup that says "You are connected to triumf.ca". (Not "triumf.org", or "triumf-secure.com" etc.)
Also check the server name in the URL box. It should match the site you expect, e.g. "admin.triumf.ca" or "trmail.triumf.ca".
It should not be an unexpected TRIUMF name such as "2-s85-v14-wlan.triumf.ca" or "vistemp2.triumf.ca".

(do not be concerned that it says "run by (unknown)". This is an optional service offered in more expensive certificates. See here for an example)

There is usually another padlock in the bottom edge of the browser window, on the right. A double-click on that will bring up certificate information.
